Married man arrested for marrying another girl

Ara : Bhojpur police arrested a married man for marrying a girl despite his first wife being alive from Chaudhariyana r locality under Town police station, Ara, on December 21 evening and forwarded him to jail.

SHO, Town Police Station, said that Lal Babu Khan alias Ali Hussain, son of Md Islam Khan of Mohani village under Bikramganj police station in Rohtas district, was married to Sazo Khatoon, daughter of Md Ahmad Khan of Milki village under Piro police station in Bhojpur district in 2008 and has three sons from her.

At present, Sazo Khatoon is living at the house of her brother-in-law (bahanoi) at Ranisagar under Shahpur police 0station. The SHO said that Lal Babu Khan used to visit his cousin brother’s in-laws house at Chaudhariana under Town Police Station frequently where he fell love with the Farida Khatoon, daughter of Md. Murtuza, and tied nuptial knot in the court about a month ago but his first wife could not get information about it.

On December 21, Lal Babu Khan had gone to Md Murtuza’s house for ‘nikah’ and other rituals. In the meantime, Sazo Khatoon got information of her husband’s second marriage and she complained the police and reached the spotr along with police force. Police arrested Lal Babu Khan and brought him to the police station where he told the police that his first wife was not living with him for last two years and so he was marrying another girl.
