Bhabhua : Police recovered bodies of man and woman on May 3, 2018, evening, from  a bush at village Kanpara under Sonhan police station in Kaimur district on the bank of river Durgawati. One of the deceased was identified as Haridwar Yadav, 40, while the identity of 25 year old married woman is yet to be established. Police suspect it to be a case of honour killing.

SDPO, Bhabhua, Ajay Prasad said that he would be able to say more only after the post -mortem report is received.The SDPO added that Haridwar Yadav, a milkman, had left his village around 2pm on May 3 to supply cheese at a marriage venue at village Bahera and was last seen purchasing household articles at a market around 8pm. When he did not return home, his family members searched for him everywhere and found his milk pot lying on the river bank. They informed police about it late May 3 night and on May 4 morning police found the bodis in a bush. The body of the woman was found about 100 meter away.

The SDPO said that the man had some marks of strangulation on his neck while woman had stab injuries on her face, neck, chest and abdomen. He said that police also found a bag containing ‘litti-chokha’ and a bus ticket near the body of the woman. He said that the bus ticket suggests she might be a resident of Rohtas district. Police have sent her photo to all the police stations of Rohts district for identification, said the SDPO.
