Man shot at, injured by criminals at Saharsa village

Saharsa : Armed criminals shot at and seriously injured a resident of village Mohania under Balwahaat police outpost (OP) Dilip Yadav near Bahkurwa Chowk adjoining his village on August 12, 2017. Dilip, who sustained bullet injury in his back, was rushed to Sadar Hospital, Saharsa, by police where the attending doctors referred him to Darbhanga Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

Dilip Yadav informed police that he was shot at allegedly by Manoj Yadav, Chandan Kumar, Bhavesh Kumar, Vaibhav and some others, who were hiding at a house, when he was on way to Bahkurwa Chowk from his village Mohania. He alleged that the first four bullets missed him while the fifth bullet hit him in the back when he was escaping from the place to save himself. Dilip alleged these criminals were following him for the past few days and he had also informed Balwahaat OP about it but they rebuked him instead of taking action against them.

Incharge, Balwahaat OP, Manoj Kumar Singh, said that two bike borne criminals had shot at and injured Dilip Yadav. He attributed the incident to battle for supremacy in the area between two groups. He said that Dilip had differences with jailed Kaushal Yadav.  Members of Kaushal gang had also shot at and injured Dilip after Panchayat election in 2016, said Balwahaat OP incharge.
