Man on morning walk crushed to death by speeding van at Bhojpur village

Ara A middleage person was crushed to death by a speeding Pick-Up van at Bakhorapur under Barahara police station in Bhojpur district on January 24, 2019, morning, when he was on morning walk.

Irate villagers blocked Keshavpur-Bakhorapur main road near Neknam Tola village with the body for two hours. They burnt tyres on road and paralysed movement of vehicles raising slogans against police and demanding arrest of the driver.They were also demanding a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased. The blockade was lifted after positive response from police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.
