Bettiah : Police on October 11, 2018, recovered body of a man identified as Zafaran Khan of village Chaurabal in Sugauli panchayat under Shikarpur police station in West Champaran district from a sugarcane field near the village.
The deceased’s mother said that Zafaran, her eldest son, had left the house on October 7, 2018, but did not return home. She had lodged a case of missing with Shikarpur police station on October 9, 2018. SHO, Shikarpur police station, Jitendra Prasad, said that the diesel poured decomposed body with multiple injuries marks was recovered by police on October 11. He said prima facie it appears that the miscreants after killing him threw the body into the cane field. Police sent the body to MJK hospital, Bettiah, for autoplay the same day. Police are searching for the persons involved in Zafaran’s murder.
