Ara : Some miscreants lynched Deepak Kumar, son of a Chowkidar Jai Prakash Singh of Dubeydihara under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur District, on October 6, 2019, evening, near Nagari village when he had gone to visit Durga pandals.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital where a three member team of doctors performed the post-mortem. Love affair is said to be the cause behind the incident. An FIR has been lodged by Charpokhari police station on the statement of father of the deceased but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. Police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
SHO, Charpokhari police station, Om Prakash said that Deepak Kumar had gone to visit Durga Pandals at Nagari Bazaar on October 6 evening. When he was returning, some miscreants caught and lynched him and later threw the body near the Sun temple and escaped. When the villagers saw the body, they informed police. Police immediately rushed to the spot and recovered the body.
