Ara : In a sensational incident, one Naga chopped the throat of his wife’s brother (sala) Nurain Khan with a sword killing him on the spot at Piro in Bhojpur district in the wee hour on November 4, 2017, and escaped from the spot. Frightened, the uncle of the deceased also died due to cardiac arrest.

Later, police brought the two bodies to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Piro police station on the statement of Ezazul Khan, father of the deceased, against five persons including Naga but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.

SHO, Piro police station, said that Nurain Khan, son of Ezazul Khan of Piro under Piro police station, was playing cards with his brother-in-law (jija) Naga on November 3 night. They played cards (gambling) till midnight during which  Nurain Khan and Naga had some tiff over money. After that Nurain Khan returned home. But Naga could not control his temper and he reached the house of Nurain Khan and chopped off his throat with a sword and escaped. When the police came and pressurized the family members to reveal fact about the incident, the uncle of the deceased got frightened and died due to cardiac arrest.
