: Ara A case of kidnapping of a youth and demand of Rs 15 lakh as ransom for his safe release from his family members came to light on January 1 evening in Buxar district. An FIR has been lodged with Dhansoi police station in Buxar district but no arrest has so far been made in this regard.
SHO, Dhansoi police station, Narendra Kumar Sinha said that Rahul Mishra, 22, son of Lalan Mishra of Kusurapa village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district had come to his maternal uncle’s place at Pathkhawaliya village under Dhansoi police station on December 27, 2016. But, he suddenly disappeared from his maternal uncle’s house two days ago. On January 1, 2017, his family members received a call from the kidnappers who demanded Rs 15 lakh as ransom with a threat to kill the youth if their demands were not fulfilled.
