336 bottles of IMFL seized from car in Buxar, driver arrested

Buxar : Buxar police seized 336 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) from a car on January 1 night on   Ganga bridge during patrolling and arrested driver Jai Prakash Yadav of Narahi village in Balia district, UP. Later, police forwarded him to jail.

SDPO, Buxar, Shaishav Yadav said that during patrolling on Ganga bridge police saw a car coming from UP. Seeing  police, the driver tried to escape but the police chased and intercepted the car and arrested him. Police also seized 336 bottles of IMFL from the car. Though, the SDPO said, two youth Rahul Kushwaha of Mahdah in Buxar district while Sandeep Kushwaha of Kharhana village under Dhansai police station in Bhojpur district managed to escape. The arrested driver said that he was driving the car for the first time and was told to carry the consignment from Laxmanpur in UP to Ambedkar Chowk in Buxar.

In another incident, GRP, Buxar, recovered 8 bottles of IMFL from 13050 DN Amritsar-Howrah Express at Buxar railway station though the carrier managed to escape.
