Man drowns to death while crossing river Banas in Bhojpur

Ara : Villagers fished out body of a man from river Banas river between Chanda and Bimari villages under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district on September 7, 2019, and handed it over to police. Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Sanjay Singh, 40, of village Bimari under Shahpur police station.

SHO, Shahpur police station, said that Sanjay Singh was trying to cross the Banas river between Bimari and Chanda villages on September 6, 2019, evening, was but was swept away by fast current and met his watery grave. The villagers tried their best to fish out the body immediately but in vain. But,  they succeeded in fishing out the body on September 7 morning 16 hours after the incident.
