Man dies in house collapse in Gopalganj

Gopalganj: Razzan, 36, son of Mohd Idris died after an under-construction house collapsed in Thawe Bazaar locality late on January 24 night. On getting information, Thawe ps SHO Praveen Kumar reached the spot and sensing the gravity of the situation called Town Inspector Baleshwar Rai, Uchakagaon ps SHO Anil Kumar, Hathwa ps SHO Vimal Kumar Singh, Manjha ps SHO Ramsevak Rawat and BDO Minu Kumari on the spot. Local mukhiya Umesh Yadav also reached there. A JCB machine was pressed into service to remove the debris and body was sent to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital.

Locals said that late on January 24 night, one Mohd. Idris was getting a house constructed after demolishing his old house at Thawe Bazaar. During demolition of the double-storied building, his 36 year old son Razzan sustained serious injuries after debris fell on him. He was pulled out of the debris and admitted to Gopalganj Sadar Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries on January 25 evening.
