Gopalganj: Sonu Sah,27, was seriously injured when a truck-laden with coal coming from opposite direction dashed against his bike near Siswan School under Bhore police station in Gopalganj in the wee hours on January 22. The locals admitted  him to Bhore Referral Hospital where the attending doctors referred him to Gorakhpur, UP. He, however, succumbed to his injuries midway.

Police said that Sonu, son of Brigunath Singh, owner of a hotel at Charmuhani in Bhore, had gone to his relative’s house at Salempur in Uttar Pradesh on January 21 evening. He was on way to Bhore from there on his bike but as 0he reached near Siswan School, a truck coming from opposite direction hit his bike around 4 am. The truck driver left the vehicle and escaped from there.The locals saw Sonu lying on the road seriously injured. They informed the local police. The local police have seized the truck bearing registration number of Jharkhand.

Sonu was married to Suman, a native of Tarwara in neighbouring Siwan, few years back. He leaves behind a son and a daughter. After getting information, his wife, who was in Siwan, reached Bhore. The deceased’s mother fell unconscious as she got the tragic information.
