Bettiah : An STF team of West Champaran police led by SDPO, Bettiah, Sanjay Kumar Jha, on a tip off, conducted raid at the house of one Baidyanath Sahni of Mujawania tola, village Telua under Nautan police station on March 22, 2018, evening, and arrested him with 30 fake currency notes of Rs 2,000 denomination.
West Champaran SP Jayant Kant, in a press release issued on March 23, 2018, said that Baidyanath Sahmi confessed before police that the fake currency notes were being brought over here from Bangladesh for circulation. He was sent to Bettiah jail on March 23.
