Bettiah : A Special Task Force (STF) team West Champaran police arrested four criminals  near Bajarang Bali temple on Bettiah-Mainatard road and seized three loaded firearms from their possessions on March 13, 2018, late evening.

The STF team was led by SDPO, Bettiah, Sanjay Kumar Jha, said West Champaran SP Jayant Kant said in a press release on March 14 adding he had received secret information that some some criminals had assembled at a place and planning to commit crime after which he constituted a team to arrest them.

The STF team conducted raid near Bajarang Bali temple on Bettiah-Mainatard road, the SP said, adding as soon as the criminals saw police approaching them they tried to escape but four of them were arrested after a hot chase. The arrested criminals were identified as  Mintu Singh, Pappu Singh, Sandip Giri and Rabindra Kumar.

Police sources said that Mintu Singh was wanted in a murder case while Sandip Giri and Pappu were involved in road robbery under Harshidhdhi in East Champaran district  and Gopalpur and Chanpatia police stations in West Champaran district.
