Gopalganj: Kateya police in Gopalganj district on January 3 evening arrested one Narsingh Chouhan and seized 41 bottles of local liquor better known as Laila from his possession. The arrested person is a native of village Rupibagahi under Kateya police station.
Kateya ps SHO Dhananjay Kumar said that he received information that some persons were running illegal liquor trade near river Syahi. He said that a police team carried out raids at several places. The SHO said that during raids, the cops intercepted a person coming from Uttar Pradesh and recovered liquor bottles from his possession. He was sent to jail after interrogation. Raids were on near river Syahi to arrest other liquor traders, he added.
