Ara : Police arrested one Guddu Thakur from village Sakhua under Udwantnagar police station on December 8, 2017, and forwarded him to jail for allegedly torturing his wife. SHO, Udwantnagar police station, Rajiv Kumar, said that Ranju Devi, wife of Guddu Thakur of village Sakhua, lodged a named FIR against her husband alleging that he always thrashed her for dowry and on December 8 dragged her out of the house. On her complain, police arrested Guddu Thakur and sent him to jail.
