Bagaha: One Binod Thakur of village Ratanmala under Bagaha police station was arrested on Monday on the charge of extorting money from vehicle owners. Bagaha SHO Mohammad Ayub said that he had received complaints that Binod Thakur was extorting money from vehicle owners by putting a barrier on NH 28 (b) near Dhobighatawa. Bagaha police led by sub- inspector (SI) Suresh Kumar swung into action and arrested him and recovered Rs 600 from his pocket. A case was lodged with Bagaha police station against him he was sent to jail, the SHO said.
