Bagaha: Contraband Charas weighing about 29.5 kg kept in 59 packets of half kg each and worth Rs 3 crore in international market was recovered from New Delhi bound Satyagraha express train (15273 Up) coming from Raxaul at Narakatiaganj railway junction in West Champaran district from the possession of four women. The seizure was made by the SSB jawans of 44th Battalion, Narakatiaganj.
SSB battalion commandant Rakesh Kumar said that the four women: Sangita Devi, Rita Devi, Pinky Devi and Rubby Devi, all from East Champaran district, identified themselves as a carriers who got Rs .4,000 each for reaching the contraband to Delhi, Ludhiana, Kanpur and other destinations. They boarded the train at Raxaul rail station on Indo -Nepal border with the contraband. The SSB handed them over to the GRP, Narakatiaganj, along with the seized Charas.
