Maker of controversial MMS Mobaraq surrenders before Thane police

Patna: A team of Saran police was sent to Mumbai by plane to bring Mobaraq Hussain alias Sipahi to Chhapra from Thane where he surrendered before police on Wednesday morning. A warrant of arrest was issued by a Chhapra court. Mobaraq,  son of Sadiq Hussain, is alleged to have made and circulated a vulgar MMS showing deities in bad taste.
Circculation of MMS had led to tension in the district where the internent services are yet to be restored. MMS had first surfaced at Maker in Saran district on August 3.
Saran DM  Deepak Anand said Kalyan police has informed Saran police about the surrender of Mobaraq. Saran police will seek transit remand of Mobaraq and bring him to Chhapra. He said a speedy trial would be conducted in the case.
