Main accused in minor girl’s rape case Samiullah arrested

Motihari : The main accused in an incident of rape of a minor girl of village Jamui under Ramgarhwa police station near Raxaul in East Champaran district Samiullah was dramatically arrested by police at Chitauni Chowk on Friday. East Champaran SP Jitendra Rana talking to newsmen said  Semiullah was being quizzed by police.
Hundreds of  youths belonging to about a dozen social organizations had staged demonstration in front of Motihari Sadar hospital early Friday morning shouting slogans against police and administration. Their demands included  arrest of all accused of Jamui rape case, Rs 20 lakh compensation to the survivor and action against the DSP of Raxaul
and SHO of Ramgarhwa police station.

It may be mentioned here that  a minor girl of Jamui village  was  raped  by a fellow villager Samiullah when she was
going outside to attend the call of nature on June 13. On second day,  she was again caught by Samiullah but before she injured his  genital  and fled away. on June 15, Samiullah with four others entered her house, stripped her
and allegedly inserted wood  in her private part. She  lodged a case with Ramgarhwa police station and was admitted to sadar hospital  where she is being treated. SP Jitendra Rana said  the rape had not been proved in medical report  and it was a case of attempt to rape.
