Ara: Under mounting polie pressure, Sonu Kumar, son of Ganga Prasad of village Sarathua  under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district, surrendered before the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate, Ara,  on Monday in connection with the murder of local businessman Sanjay Prasad alias  Munna Sai. He is said to be the main accused in the murder who had fired on the businessman. All the four accused in the case are now in jail.

Bhojpur SP Kshatranil Singh said that a businessman Munna Sai was shot dead at the gate of his house at New Ara Babu Bazaar under Town police station, Ara,  in the morning on July 8 and four persons: Rabindra alias Nepali, his brothers Sunny Kumar and  Sonu Kumar, of Sarathua son of Ganga Prasad village Sarathua and his brother-in-law Chandan Kumar of Baghi Pakad under Dhobaha police outpost were made named accused in this case. Police arrested Rabindra alias Nepali, his brother Sunny Kumar from Kaarwa Bakari village under Udwantnagar police station when they were sleeping on the roof of their relative and Chandan Kumar from his native village.

The SP said he would try to get the case disposed off quickly through speedy trial and added that the police would take Sonu Kumar on remand.
