Patna : The Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) on March 26, 2019, re-nominated sitting MP Chaudhary Mehboob Ali Qaiser from Khagaria parliamentary constituency in Bihar for the ensuing Lok Sabha polls. This was announced by LJP supremo and Union Minister Ramvilas Paswan on March 26. Qaiser was also present when Paswan made this announcement at a presser here.

With this, the NDA has declared the names of all its 40 candidates from Bihar. The NDA had announced the names of its 39 candidates a few days back. Several LJP leaders were vying for the Khagaria seat. However, the party leaders again preferred a minority candidate. LJP sources said that Qaiser had also met Ram Vilas Paswan and LJP Parliamentary Board chairman Chirag Paswan over the issue. Qaiser, a former BPCC Chief, had won the Khagaria seat in 2014 as the LJP candidate.
