Patna : Bihar Police headquarters on September 3, 2018, claimed the law and order the state has improved a lot and rule of law has been established. ADG ( Police Headquarters) S K Singhal said that there the incidents of crime had declined considerably in the state as police had arrested altogether 1,70,448 accused in different cases and 6,330 criminals got punishment after speedy trial in last eight months. Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has played a vital role in it, he pointed out, adding that FSL would be strengthened.
ADG Singhal informed that there had been sharp decline in 13 categories of crime including kidnapping, abduction for ransom, dacoity, loot atrocities on women and SC/ST Act. He, however, said that there has been increase of 1.3 % in murder and 3.45 % in theft cases. Four kidnappings took place this year for ransom and all the accused in
three cases were forwarded to jail, he said, adding that one incident was found to be fake.
