Ara: Former CM Jeetan Ram Manjhi on Thursday visited the residence of slain businessman Sanjay Prasad alias Munna Sai and consoled the bereaved family. He said that criminals were ruling the roost in Bihar once again as law and order had collapsed in the state. Manjhi said no one is safe here though CM Nitish Kumar claims that it was all peaceful across the state. He also criticized the excise policy of the CM and said that if the government wants to enforce complete Prohibition in the state, senior officials who drink should be arrested.
The former CM came here at the behest of his state spokesperson Danish Rizwaan, a resident of Ara who reportedly trying to prepare ground to contest next assembly elections from Ara and takes credit for restoring peace at village Rani Sagar after the recent unrest in the wake of posting of objectionable comment on the Facebook during Eid. But, Manjhi did not visit Rani Sagar.
It may be mentioned here that Munna Sai, a businessman, was shot dead by his neighbour at the gate of the his house in New Area Babu Bazaar under Town Police station, Ara, morningon July 9. All the four named accused were arrested by police and sent o jail within 72 hours of the incident.
