Saharsa : Sarita Kumari, a school teacher, died in a road mishap on February 14 while returning home at Sonbersha Raj after performing Intermediate Examination duty in the first sitting when the auto she was travelling by turned turtle near Dumra Chowk in Saharsa district. She died on the spot. Inter Exam commenced across Bihar on February 14.

Two other auto passengers : Suvinder Kumar Mahto and Angad Kumar Mahto, both residents of village Maura, were injured in the incident and were admitted to the local Primary Health Centre (PHC).

Sarita, wife of Sonbersha Raj resident Shankar Prasad Gupta, was a teacher at Chandi High School, Saharsa. She was on Inter Exam duty at a Saharsa centre. Sonebersha Raj police reached the spot and seized the auto but its driver managed to escape. Police sent the body to Saharsa Sadar Hospital for post-mortem.
