Patna : Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) scored 232/2 in 20 overs against Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 47th match of IPL-12 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, on April 28, 2019, night, with opener Subham Gill scoring 76 in 45 balls hitting 6 fours and 4 sixes and all-rounder Andre Russel scoring an unbeaten 80 in 40 balls hitting 6 fours and 8 sixes.  KKR captain Dinesh Karthik (wk) remained unbeaten on 15 in 7 balls with a four and a six. Opener Chris Lynn scored 54 in 29 balls with 8 fours and 2 sixes and added 96 runs with Shubham Gill for the first wicket.

None of the MI bowlers proved effective in the match. Lasith Malinga conceded 20 runs in his 4th over including 2 fours and 2 sixes. He leaked 48 runs in 4 overs without taking any wicket while Jasprit Bumrah conceded 44 runs in his 4 overs without taking a wicket. Spinner Rahul Chahar took 1/54 in 4 ovders while Hardik Pandya took 1/33 in 3 overs.  MI had opted to bowl after winning the toss.
