Buxar : Buxar police, on a tip off, on January 24 conducted raid at village Athar under Dumraon police station in Buxar district and arrested Sumer Kumar alias Malik in connection with the murder of former Headmaster, H N K High School, Vishwanath Singh, five years after the incident and forwarded him to jail. He was absconding since the murder of the Headmaster.
Dumraon DSP Kamlapati Singh said that Buxar police had seized large quantity of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) recently in which name of Sumer Kumar alias Malik also figured. As his name figured, police conducted raids at several places and finally succeeded in arresting Sumer Kumar alias Malik from his native village Athar on January 24 evening. The DSP said that Sumer Kumar had criminal background and had killed the Headmaster Vishwanath Singh in 2012 outside Dumraon railway station when he was on way to his home. Police had attached his property earlier in this regard.
