Patna : Body of abducted Satyam (16), son of an Ayurvedic doctor S B Gupta, was recovered from bushes, close to RPS Engineering College under Rupuspur police station, Patna, on September 29, 2018. Police have arrested Neeraj Yadav and Rohit for kidnapping and subsequently killing Satyam. The deceased’s body was recovered on the information given by the two arrested youth. The criminals had demanded a ransom of Rs 50 lakh from the father of Satyam for his safe release.
Extremely unhappy over kidnapping and murder of Satyam, Zonal IG, Patna, NH Khan, placed under suspension the SHO of Rupuspur police station Deepak Kumar under suspension on September 29. IG Khan said that
police would ensure stern action against the criminals, whoever they might be.
Satyam used to live in Rupuspur with his family members. Three days back, he had gone for attending his coaching class but did not return home. His family members started searching for him. During the same period, the
kidnappers rang up his father informing him that Satyam had been kidnapped and demanded Rs 50 lakh for his safe release. After this, police swung into action and based on cellphone location, the cops arrested two criminals.
During interrogation, both the arrested persons revealed that they had killed Satyam, the day he was kidnapped.
