Motihari : Sikrahna sub divisional police in East Champaran district headed by DSP Bambam Chaudhary rescued a kidnapped jeweller Om Prakash Sarraf on Thursday night from village Lalua in Sheohar district. He was kidnapped from Pachapakadu on June 15 night by some criminals and was recovered nine days after his abduction. The kidnappers had demanded Rs 40 lakh as ransom from the family members of Sarraf. It is not yet clear whether he was let off by kidnappers allegedly after getting ransom or he was rescued by police.
