Gopalganj: Although the main mastermind of Khajurbanni liquor tragedy Grahan Pasi has surrendered before a local court, Gopalganj police are yet to arrest another of the tragedy Rupesh Shukla alias Pandit even after two month of the incident.

It may be mentioned here that over 19 persons had died after consuming liquor at village Khajurbanni on August 16-17 this year. The incident had rocked the state as the Grand Alliance government led by CM Nitish Kumar had banned sale and consumption of liquor in Bihar from April 1, this year.

Pandit, a native of village Jalalpur under Jamo police station in Siwan district, was living in Harkhua locality under Town police station in Gopalganj district and was engaged in this nefarious trade. Police sources said that only after Pandit’s arrest, they would be able to know what chemical he had used in the liquor.
