Patna: A native of village Kewra under Masaurhi sub-division in Patna district, Raj Kumar, about 48, was shot dead allegedly by a close relative at Masaurhi Court Halt while waiting for a train for Patna at 8.30 am on Friday. Raj Kumar ran for safety but the assailant chased him and fired at him four times in his chest on Halt premises. Raj Kumar was rushed to PMCH in a precarious condition but died before reaching there. The incident triggered panic among the passengers. Police recovered three live cartridges from the place of occurrence. Raj Kumar had a land dispute with his nephew. He was going to Patna in connection with a land dispute case.
