Ara : Under mounting police pressure, Bahadur Yadav, one of the main accused in the murder of son of a Chowkidar at village Bajaria under Sahar police station, surrendered before an Ara court on August 30, 2018, and was sent to jail under judicial custody. Another named accused Jalandhar Singh is still at large.
Bhojpur SP Awakash Kumar said that Lal Babu Singh, 23, son of a Chowkidar Bhukhan Singh of village Bajaria under Sahar police station, was shot dead near Katahi bridge at Bajaria on August 17, 2018, evening, when he was going to Baruhi Bazaar. The miscreants also attacked his house and thrashed his father Bhukhan Singh.
Police had to bear the brunt of irate villagers after the murder and the house of the miscreants were attacked and set ablaze. A named FIR was lodged with Sahar police station against Bahadur Yadav and Jalandhar Singh. Police had also arrested 16 persons in connection with attack on police team.
