Ara : Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate, VII, Ara, Pranav Shankar, on August 30, 2018, declared former Station House Officer (SHO),  Town police station, Ara, Neeraj Kumar Sinha, and SIs Uday Pratap Singh and Ram Kumar Singh absconder and also issued standing arrest warrants against them for not appearing before the court despite several reminders.

Ayurvedacharya Vaidyanath Sinha, a resident of Mahajan Toli No 1, had filed a complaint case in the court of the Chief Judicial Magistrate in 2003 that the then SHO, Town police station, Ara, Neeraj Kumar Sinha, the then SIs Uday Pratap Singh and Ram Kumar Singh came to his clinic on January 10, 2003, and thrashed him and also snatched some cash on the pretext of non-submission of his licensed gun.

The court had taken cognizance of his complaint and had issued warrant to the three cops asking them to appear before the court in person but they did not appear before it. The court had also issued warrant of attachment against them but these officials still did not appear in the court. The court took the disobedience by them seriously and declared them absconders.
