Dhanbad (Jharkhand) : Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das on March 22, 2017, spoke to DGP D K Pandey and Dhanbad SSP Ratam Mohan Chauthe on phone to know progress of investigation into the murder of former Dhanbad Deputy Mayor Niraj Singh along with three others on March 21 evening at Dhanbad. He asked them to crack the case at the earliest.
Dhanbad police, according to top sources, are trying to locate a missing youth named Aditya Singh, who was with Neeraj till one hour before his killing and was present at Janata Majdur Sangh office, Jharia, but was not seen soon after Neeraj left for home but was shot dead on way. Sources stated that top cops are peeved as no CCTV is installed at major points in the city. They are trying to find out whether any picture of the attackers has been taken by the CCTV of any major institution or banks on the entire route from Jharia till Dhanbad steel gate at Saraidhela.
Police is even probing as to on whose order 20 speed breakers were built near Steel gate of Saraidhela which forced the SUV carrying Neeraj to slow down at speed breaker number 10 where it was attacked. Police have taken out the printout of mobile phones of more than a dozen youth as well as of Neeraj to come to know whether details of movement of Neeraj’s vehicle was passed to someone. ADG, CID, Ajay Singh said that they have got few vital clues on which they are working but till any breakthrough is made he would not like to speak on the matter.
