Demand for grant of revenue dist status to Bagaha intensifies

Bagaha : A signature drive was launched on the occasion of Bihar Diwas on March 22, 2017, seeking revenue district status to Bagaha, which is already a police district. Convenor of Bagaha Vikas Manch Rakesh Singh said that Bagaha meets all conditions required for for making it a revenue district yet the government has  remained indifferent to the demand.

Many local leaders including Dayanand Dwivedi, Hardeo Prasad, Dayashanker Singh, Nandesh Pandey and others strongly supported the issue and said that the delay in granting revenue district status to Bgaha was an injustice to the people. They blamed CM Nitish Kumar for the delay in making Bagaha a revenue district. Over one thousand put their signatures on the demand on March 22, on first day of three -day Bihar Diwas programme.
