New Delhi : Union Minister for Human Resource Development (HRD) Prakash Javadekar interacted with Indian University Badminton and Taekwondo (Men and Women) teams in New Delhi on August 17, 2017. Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore was also present on the occasion. The teams will be participating in 29th World University Games from August 19 to August 30, 2017, at Taipei.

Javadekar, in his address, said that it is very crucial moment in your life and in this competition the team members should learn from each other and every coach as this is the true sportsmanship. He added,” You should target your goal like Arjuna, who was the best archer of his times,” Javadekar said. He hoped that both the teams will come out with flying colors and bring an honour and good name to our country, according to a PIB release.

Speaking on the occasion, Rathore said that it is normal to be nervous before the event, but we have to overcome it by focusing on the right strategy and mental approach to win game. He also extended his best wishes to the team. Vice Chancellor of Maharishi Dayanand University B K Punia expressed his gratitude and thanks to both the minister for boosting the morale of the players.
