Ara : Hundreds of activists of the Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) led by their district president Avinash Kumar alias Laddu Yadav blocked Ara -Patna main road near Dharahara under Town police station, Ara, for about four hours on December 22 to protest demonetisation.

They burnt tyres on the road and raised slogans against the union government and also against PM Narendra Modi. They were agitating in protest against demonetization without thinking about  problems of the masses, failure of government to find some solution to deal with the problems in the wake of demonetization, death of 103 persons in the county while standing in the queue outside the banks and ATMs and changing statements of the PM daily.

Speaking on the occasion, Avinsh Kumar alias Laddu Yadav said that the PM was befooling people by talking about cashless economy when 50% of masses were still ignorant about internet. The demonetisation is a childish act, he said.
