Bagaha: With complaints pouring in alleging irregularities in the implementation of several development schemes under Madhubani block in West Champaran district, Bagaha SDM Dharmendar Kumar on Monday constituted five squads comprising Block development officers (BDOs), Circle officers (COs), Block co-operative officers (BCOs) and others to review the status of these schemes.

The five squads on Monday carried out simultaneous raids in five panchayats: Khotshawa, Dahawa, Kathar, Madhubani and Dhanaha under Madhubani block, and detected many irregularities at Aanganwadi centres where children’s attendance were low, no mid day meal was prepared at centre no.32 and many centres had no attendance register and centre no30  was runing without Sevika. Five employees of Dahawa primary health centre (PHC) and two employees of Dhanaha PHC were found absent without taking leave. Disciplinary action would be taken against them, the SDM said. Two PDS dealers of  Dhanaha and Madubani panchayat each were found irregular in distributing grains and were asked to show cause, the SDM said.
