Aurangabad: Even as the Nitish Kumar government is engaged in salvaging its image after the much publicized Intermediate Results Scam, Aurangabad Police have also stumbled on massive irregularities in Ram Lakhan Singh Yadav College here.
Aurangabad SP Babu Ram was stunned to find the irregularities after he visited the College premises in connection with investigation of a complaint lodged by College Principal Phuloo Paswan earlier regarding massive irregularities in admission in 2015-17 session of Intermediate Science.
If college sources are to be believed, over 200 students have taken admission to Intermediate science without proper verification by in-charge, admission Cell, of the college. When the college principal noticed this irregularity in admission process, he immediately registered a written complaint against 59 students with Town police station. If the College sources are to be believed, the Principal did not rule out the possibility of involvement of some college employees in the racket.
College sources said that Aurangabad SP had taken the statements of some college employees including principal and incharge, admission cell. The SP said that students were admitted to the college without proper verification, which is a matter of serious concern.
