Bagaha : The Indo-Nepal border has been sealed 48 hours before the Local Bodies elections in Nawalparasi and Chitawan districts in Nepal scheduled for May 14, 2017. SSB Commandant of 21 battalion Anil Kumar Sharma on May 13 said that the SSB Jawans deployed on the Gandak barrage at Valmikinagar in West Champaran district in North Bihar besides other  Border Outposts of SSB in the district have been put on high alert.

The security has beefed up on the border to check infiltration of anti- social elements. The SSB and police patrolling on bulletproof vehicles are on. The SSB Commandant further said that checking of vehicles had been intensified and raids were being conducted on the hideouts of the criminals.
