Sitamarhi: Sitamarhi police cracked the case of loot of Rs 3.34 lakh cash from Pupri branch of Bank of Baroda within 36 hours by arresting Maruti Nandan Chaudhary, a resident of village Jhajhihat under Pupri police station, on May 12, 2017, with three pistols. On Maruti Nandan Chaudhary’s revelation, one Subham Kumar was arrested in Delhi with Rs 2.6 lakh looted cash with the help of Delhi police. A criminal burst crackers inside the bank and looted Rs 3.34 lakh from the Cashier’s counter on May 11.
Sitamarhi SP Hari Prasath S said surveillance and disclosure made by Maruti Nandan helped police in cracking the case quickly. Shubham had taken a flight from Patna to reach Delhi on May 11 evening after the incident of cash loot from the bank the same noon. A police team has gone to Delhi to bring Subham back to Pupri, Sitamarhi. His other accomplices would also be arrested soon, the SP added.
