Patna : India were 37/4 after 20 overs in their second innings on day 3 in the 3rd test against Australia at Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, Australia, with Hanuma Vihari (13), Cheteshwar Pujara (0), who had scored century in the first innings, captain Virat Kohli (0), and Ajinkya Rahane (1) back to the pavilion. Pat Cummins, who had taken three three wickets in India’s first innings, has taken 4/4 in a devastating spell of fast bowling. Mayank Agarwal is batting on 19 and Rohit Sharma batting on 4. India lead by 329 runs with 7 overs of play still left.

Earlier, Jasprit Bumrah took career best 6/33 in 15.5 overs to skittle out Australia for 151 in their first innings giving India a  292 run lead. Spinner Ravindra Jadeja took 2/45 in 25 overs. Ishant Sharma and Mohammad Shami took one wicket each. For Australia, opener Marcus Harris and captain Tim Paine scored 22 each while Usman Khwaja scored 21. Travis Head made 20 while Shaun Marsh made 19. Pat Cummins scored 17 while Aaron Finch made 8. Mitchell Marsh scored 9.
