Bokaro ( Jharkhand) : Chas SDO Satish Chandra, on the directive of Bokaro deputy commissioner (DC) R M Ray, on April 10, 2017, sealed an illegal brick kiln running at Jaridih under Chas sub-division for last several years. It was sealed after the DC received a complaint that the brick kiln was owned by Ajay Singh and his partner Manoj Singh without taking permission from district administration flouting the Mines and Forest Act besides creating environment pollution.
After receiving the complaint, the DC directed Chas SDO Satish Chandra to conduct an inquiry. The SDO during raid on the brick kiln premises found the allegation to be correct as it did not have any valid documents to run the kiln. The owners escaped once inquiry began. Later in the afternoon, an FIR was lodged with Balidih police station against the owners.
