Id-Ul-Milad- Nabi procession at Ara, huge turnout

Ara :The birth anniversary of Prophet Mohammad Saheb, Id-Ul-Milad- Nabi, was cerebrated here with religious fervour on Monday amidst tight security arrangements made by Bhojpur district administration. Over 50,000 people from different parts of Bhojpur district assembled at Wali Ganj locality of Ara town from where a massive procession was taken out that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated near Shahi Mosque at Sheesh Mahal Chowk. The entire town wore a festive look green banners, flags, balloons and festoons all over.

People set up stalls at different points and offered drinking water, sharbat to the people. Even the Hindus did not lag behind and set up stall at Gopali Chowk and offered sharbat to the people. The district administration had deputed magistrates at 67 places along with  police officials and about 700 policemen and also videographed the event. The DM and SP along with other officials monitored the law and order arrangements. The electricity authorities disconnected power supply to the entire town from 9.30 am till evening to prevent incident of electrocution often caused by high flag posts.
