Nawada: A huge quantity of Indian made foreign liquor (IMFL) was recovered from a private car near America Bigha under Mufassil PS during a vehicle checking drive on Saturday. The car (ALTO) bearing Nawada registration number was apparently heading towards Rajauli from Biharsharif. However, the car owner Pappu Kumar Singh, a resident of village Karm under Akbarpur police station in Nawada district, managed to escape.
Nawada SP Vikas Dev Burman said that a special drive was conducted to check incoming as well as outgoing vehicles in the district which led to the seizure of the liquor. All the liquor bore the brand Royal Stag and was stocked in different bottles of 750 ml, 375 ml and 180 ml.
