Homeguards personnel crushed to death by speeding truck at Ara

Ara : A speeding truck crushed to death a Homeguards personnel on duty at Eastern Railway Crossing under Nawada police station, Ara, in Bhojpur district, on January 19, 2019, late evening and escaped. Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem.

SHO, Nawada police station, said that three Homeguards personnel were deputed at the Eastern Railway Crossing on January 19 late evening and were busy clearing the road. In the meantime, a speeding truck knocked down a Homeguard personnel Awadh Bihari Singh, son of Srikhan Singh of village Salthar under Udwantnagar police station, killing him on the spot. The truck driver escaped with the truck.
