Ara : The Homeguards, who are on indefinite strike for the last one month to press their demands including `Equal Pay for Equal Work’, resorted to begging on May 8, 2017, at Ara, headquarters of Bhojpur district. They paraded through the main thoroughfares of the town and begged.
Nand Kishore Singh, president, Bhojpur, Homeguard Association, said that the government had adopted suppressive measures but the Homeguards would would continue their agitation. He said though their children and family members on verge of starvation, they would continue their agitation till the government conceded their demands.
