Darbhanga : One person was killed and six others were injured in police firing at village Habidih under Baheri police station in Darbhanga district o May 8, 2017, after a mob attacked cops and pelted them with stones during burial of an old man, who died on May 7, on a disputed plot. The rival group was opposing burial on a disputed plot and had allegedly not allowed it on May 7.
Darbhanga SP Satyajit Singh, who visited the spot, confirmed the death of one person in police firing on May 8 but said that the situation was under control. The SP said that around six persons had been detained for attacking policemen on duty.
