Bokaro (Jharkhand) : A Holi Milan Samaroh was organised at DPS Bokaro in Jharkhand on March 7, 2020, where the teachers and the staff members gathered to mark the festival of colours. The theme of the programme was to use flower petals instead of ‘Chemical colours’ for safe and Happy Holi.
The staff members enjoyed the afternoon. ‘Housie’ was organised and the winners were given awards. The event was a vibrant mix of colourful tradition, cultural music, and dance. The cultural programme was followed by a sumptuous lunch.
Principal DPS Bokaro A S Gangwar highlighted the importance of the Holi Festival and said, “We have a rich cultural legacy that is worth imbibing like ‘namaste’ instead of shaking hands which can be one way to prevent the spread of ‘Coronavirus’. Sharing his concern on ‘Coronavirus’, he urged staff to remain informed, alert, and take precautionary measures to stay safe.. He added that one must avoid using chemical colours as most of them are not skin-friendly. He said that one must always go for flower petals to celebrate the festival of spring.
