Motihari : Medicare services  remained paralysed  at all the government hospitals, primary health centres (PHCs), private clinics, and nursing homes in East Champaran District  in North Bihar on March 7, 2020, as the members of  IMA and BSHSA  went on day long strike in protest against broad daylight cold blooded murder of  Dr Priya Ranjan Kumar Priydarshi in Nalanda  District on March 5, 2020.

Dr Shushil Kumar Sinha, President of  East Champaran Unit of  IMA said that  all  the members were onstrike and all the private clinics remained closed. Dr S N Singh, Ppresident of BSHSA, East Champaran, said the government  doctors  posted at
hospitals  boycotted  outpatient department (OPD)  bur emergency services were provided .

Meanwhile, police on March 7, 2020, arrested four persons including a cousin in connection with murder of Dr Priya Ranjan Kumar Priyadarshi. Nalanda police have also recovered the weapons used for killing the doctor.
